It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our beloved mum, grandmum and great grandmum, Cecilia Kuringe Tengeneza which occurred at KU Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital on 16 March 2025.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Peter Afande and the late Regina Mnyaise.
She was the beloved wife of the late Mwalimu Gregory Tengeneza and daughter in law of the late John Kileriwa and the late Betty Iya.
She was dotted mother of Edward Lyimo (retired Vet), Yuvenali Safari (retired Vet), Honest Msafiri (Bulapesa Primary School), Jemarose Makishe Kamau (Principal, Ndekei Secondary School), Eng. Peter Sirwa, Sylvia Gregory Mubweka (KHC Gaborone, Botswana) and Levina Bahati (Cabinet Affairs).
She was the mother-in-law of Harriet Kamami, the late Anastasia Safari, the late Daniel Kamau, Kennedy Mubweka and James Mwangi.
She was the grandmother of Brenda, Iya, Modesty, Mumbi, Hellen, Betty-Joy, Michelle, Basil, Kileriwa, Tabitha, Christopher, Valentin, Benson, Jeniffer, Joy-Michelle, Ruth, Gregory, Natalia, Natasha, David, John-Brian & Yohannes.
She was aunty and cousin to many and she has left behind many great grandchildren.
The cortège will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home for requiem mass at St.Eusebius Cathedral, Isiolo followed by the final rites at the church compound on 28 March 2025 in Isiolo.
Mum, Rest in Peace and we will miss you great.
