With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gloria Namwonja Khasamba of ICEA LION Group, Mombasa, on 22nd March 2025.
Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Charles Khasamba and the late Mrs.Wilmina Khasamba of Budalangi, Busia County.
She was a cherished sister of Emily Khasamba (Businesswoman – Nairobi), Consolata Khasamba (NSSF Ukunda), David Khasamba (Tom Mboya Labour College Kisumu), Shirley Khasamba (Malindi), Sydney Khasamba (Redwind Ltd Kisumu), Geoffrey Khasamba (Mombasa), and Elizabeth Khasamba (Mombasa).
She was a devoted aunt of Hope Opiyo, Claudine, Genesis, Roman Jones, Richie Joanes, Milan David, Gabriel David, Wilsky Nyamiwa (Chichi), Ray, Miguel, Eliy, Adan, and Amarry Lauryn.
Gloria was a sister-in-law of Kilion, Simon, Thomas, Nancy, Lydia, Mwavita, Nelson, and Kwayo.
Additionally, she was a cousin of Jennifer Atwoli, Cecilia Wandera, Sarah Were, Kevin Wanda, Catherine Namwonja, Eric Wanyama, Evans Ojiambo, Elvis Mangunyi and many others.
Gloria also leaves behind a circle of close friends, including Pauline, Molly, Naomi, and Sarah, among many others.
Daily prayer meetings are being held at her residence in Makupa, next to Makupa Catholic Church.
A requiem mass is scheduled for Thursday, 3rd April 2025, at Makupa Catholic Church at 10.00 am.
Following the mass, the body will depart Mombasa for Budalangi, Busia County.
Gloria will be laid to rest on Saturday, 5th April 2025, at Rugunga Village, Bunyala South, Busia County.
